What people don’t want to make it easier for gardening, but aesthetically pleasing? We’ve very hot, dry summers and cold winters have motivated me looking for plants that will survive the two extremes with care the minimum. One of the plants that meet the criteria is the fall wild aster (Aster oblongifolius) are sometimes referred to as “American” or “Aromatic Prairie Aster.” Throughout the summer, this long, incredible sports player, beautifully smooth textured foliage and in the late fall, burst ahead with a blast of lavender, yellow centered, like daisy flowers. This is originally from Texas, as well as some other countries.
One way to simplify your work in the garden is to grow the plant maintenance low, like daisies. They do not need to be over watered or over fertilized and prefer full sun or light shade and good drainage. This is a selection of water-wise for rock gardens or xeriscaping. To encourage more fully bloom and mounding habit more compact, only cut them back by a third over on July 1.
Further consolidate gardening tasks by a group of plants with the same moisture, nutrition requirements and mild. Some plants companion for aster is Mexico mint marigold, Copper Canyon, Mexico bush daisy, white sage, lantana, marigold, trailing purple or Violet in the Philippines.
Aster’s original Texas is one of the toughest and perennials in bloom and the latest we will expand the colors in views over the late autumn.
